The primary aim of Cork Aid to Sri Lanka is to provide long-term support and assistance for Tsunami victims on the Southern tip of Sri Lanka. We are there to provide support and assistance to the Sri Lankan people to help them overcome the Tsunami tragedy and ensure that they actively participate in the long-term redevelopment of Sri Lanka. We are directly involved in rebuilding Sri Lankan communities and we will continue to be there through the weeks, months and years that it will take to rebuild these shattered communities.
Our objective is to focus on income producing projects, which allow individuals to travel the road to self-sufficiency and enable them to actively participate in the future development of Sri Lanka.
Our objective is to improve the opportunities of the Sri Lankan people through School initiatives. We aim to offer support to children by allowing them to stay at School through the Scholarship Programme. Allowing the children to stay at school ensures that their educational needs are met and that they can participate in the growth and redevelopment of Sri Lanka.
The aim is to support, to educate, to inform and most of all to allow the youth of Sri Lanka to actively participate in the country's redevelopment. Social inclusion is fundamental to Cork Aid to Sri Lanka's objectives.
