When Majella met Rosaylin she was devastated and her sadness was very evident. They sat together and Rosaylin told her sad story. Cork Aid to Sri Lanka provided Rosaylin with stock to rebuild the shop and tried to take her mind off the terrible situation that Rosaylin and her husband found themselves in.
"I was happy to see a smile on your face when we went to Galle and purchased some stock for your shop. It was great to see that even for a few moments there were signs of hope and happiness returning to your life. The tea you made for me and your neighbours offered an opportunity for you to express your sadness and talk freely about your loss. I enjoyed hearing about your children and I hope this provided some consolation to you in your time of grief"
